How to View Email Logs
Read and resend messages
What is an email log?
It's a record of every message sent from your Upmind business. The log shows subject names, recipient email addresses, and dates sent. Click a message to read the content and see the trigger and/or hook that generated the email, if applicable (e.g. a welcome message sent to a new sign-up).
The log can act as proof of messages sent if questions about communication come up with staff or clients. In case of lost communication, you can quickly resend a message from the log.
Opening the email history log
Use this option to open the general email history log.
- Log in to your Upmind account.
- On the left menu, click Logs.
- Click Email history log. A new page displays.
Another option
Use this option if you want to view the email log of a specific client.
- Log in to your Upmind account.
- On the left menu, click Clients.
- Click the Clients List menu tab.
- Scroll down the list and click a client name.
- Under the Overview heading, click Logs.
The client's email history page displays.
Filtering messages
On the Email history log page, click a menu item to filter the messages by category (Sent, Bounced, Failed). You can also filter messages by tag (e.g. First name, Email).
- Click the filter field.
- Select an option on the drop-down menu.
Reading a message
Click a message to open the View email panel. You can also click the gear icon and select View.
Each message has three sections. The top section has message details like parties and dates. The body of the message is in the middle section.
The bottom section describes the hooks and triggers related to the message. Click either link to learn more about the message.
Resending a message
There are two ways to resend a message.
- Click the gear icon and select Resend (see above).
- Open the message and click the link at the top of the View email panel.
After you resend a message, Upmind adds the message to the log. If you open the message, a label at the top of the page indicates this is a re-sent message.
