How to Add dLocal as a Payment Method
Set up dLocal to take payments in Upmind
dLocal is a fintech company specializing in cross-border payments for emerging markets. Integrating with dLocal enables businesses to access markets across Latin America, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and other regions where traditional banking infrastructure may present obstacles.
Getting Credentials
Before integrating dLocal as a payment gateway, ensure you have access to your dLocal account to obtain the x-login, x-trans-key, and secret key. Here’s how you can retrieve these credentials:
- Log in to your dLocal dashboard.
- Navigate to Settings > Integration.
- Locate and view the product credentials.
These credentials are essential for securely configuring dLocal within your Upmind system
Note on Account Creation and Payment Testing
Creating an account lets you test payment functionality, but live payment processing is only available after the account is activated. For more information, refer to the dLocal guide here
Adding Payment Provider
Go to Settings > Payment providers in your admin area. Then click Add payment provider and choose dLocal.
Adding Details
Scroll down to the page and complete the necessary fields.
- Enter a display name. We suggest dLocal.
- Click the Test Mode and select the option.
- Enter the x-login, x-trans-key, and secret key that you get from your dLocal dashboard
- You might Test Credentials and it will show Successful authentication!
- Add currencies (optional).
- Enter payment instructions. (optional)
- Click Create.
Editing the Payment Method
You can change or update the payment method. Go to the Payment Providers page, click the three dots, and select Edit.
