How to Add PayU as a Payment Method

PayU facilitates secure and efficient online payments, enabling merchants to accept payments from customers through multiple channels such as credit/debit cards, bank transfers, digital wallets, and more.

Getting credentials

Before adding PayU as a payment gateway, log in to your PayU account to obtain the Merchant ID, Merchant Secret, Oauth Client ID, and Oauth Client Secret.

• Navigate to the Payment Gateway under Collect Payments from the menu on the left-pane to obtain the Merchant ID and Merchant Secret.

• Then, on the same page, scroll down to find the Client ID and Client Secret.

Adding a payment provider

Go to Settings > Payment providers in your admin area. Then click Add payment provider and choose PayU.

Adding details

Scroll down to the page and complete the necessary fields.

1. Enter a display name. We suggest PayU.
2. Click the Test Mode and select the option.
3. Enter the Merchant ID, Merchant Secret, Oauth Client ID, and Oauth Client Secret that you have to get on your PayU account.
4. You might Test Credentials and it will show Successful authentication!
5. Add currencies (optional).
6. Enter payment instructions. (optional)
7. Click Create.

Editing the payment method

You can change or update the payment method. Go to the Payment providers page, click the gear icon, and select Edit.
