How to Add PayFast as a Payment Method

In this guide, we set up PayFast, which is a popular payment method in South Africa.

Getting credentials from PayFast

Before you add this payment method, log in to your PayFast account and collect the following information.

• Merchant ID
• Merchant key
• Passphrase

Adding a Payment Provider

After you copy the required account information, return to Upmind and navigate to Settings>Payment providers. Then click Add payment provider.

Choose PayFast.

Adding details

Scroll down the page and add details.

1. Enter a display name. We suggest PayFast.
2. Click the Test Mode field and select No.
3. Enter the account information (Merchant ID and key plus Passphrase).
4. Click the Stored field and select No.
5. Add currencies (optional).
6. Enter payment instructions. (optional)
7. Click Create.

Editing the payment method

You can change or update the payment method. Go to the Payment providers page, click the gear icon, and select Edit.
