Upmind’s client area is not designed to replace your frontend sales website. Upmind is a client area, order system, and billing system. We are providing widgets and plan cards that can be embedded into your frontend website. This will eventually lead to whole embeddable ‘my account’ areas. However, we recommend that you run Upmind on a domain like my.domain.com or clientarea.domain.com rather than on domain.com.

Can I use Upmind as my main website if I want?

Yes, of course, you can. That will make your homepage the shop, which you can configure in Settings > User interface.

What should I use to create a website?

We are agnostic. We would suggest some software where you can embed html / javascript so that you can drop in any Upmind widgets. You cannot go far wrong with WordPress, which can be installed on any decent hosting platform.
